I'm going to read as many as possible of the "Magic Tree House" series, even though the one I previously read was in the Merlin Missions Tree House series。 (there are more than 25 books in each)。 Mary Pope Osborne is a wonderful writer, she doesn't talk down to her audience, and she teaches without being obvious about it。 This is book #1 of the series and is the first time the kids find the Magic tree house。 They are brother and sister, which bond is part of the story。 Here they time travel to s I'm going to read as many as possible of the "Magic Tree House" series, even though the one I previously read was in the Merlin Missions Tree House series。 (there are more than 25 books in each)。 Mary Pope Osborne is a wonderful writer, she doesn't talk down to her audience, and she teaches without being obvious about it。 This is book #1 of the series and is the first time the kids find the Magic tree house。 They are brother and sister, which bond is part of the story。 Here they time travel to see real dinosaurs! What fun! Just delightful。If you see any book by her, take it home。 If you have children or teens (pre- and young teens especially) even better because you can share these adventures。 If not old enough to read, read it to them, they will surely love it。 。。。more

Go on an adventure back to the time of the dinosaurs with Jack and Annie。 This brother sister duo finds a magic tree house in the woods near their house。 The tree house is mysterious and full of books。 When Jack opens a book and wishes he could see a real dinosaur the treehouse spins them into a different time and a new adventure。 Between Jack’s curiosity and search for facts to write in his notebook and Annie’s adventurous and fearless nature to explore, these two take readers on a ride with a Go on an adventure back to the time of the dinosaurs with Jack and Annie。 This brother sister duo finds a magic tree house in the woods near their house。 The tree house is mysterious and full of books。 When Jack opens a book and wishes he could see a real dinosaur the treehouse spins them into a different time and a new adventure。 Between Jack’s curiosity and search for facts to write in his notebook and Annie’s adventurous and fearless nature to explore, these two take readers on a ride with a Pteranodon and come face to face with a Triceratops。 Young readers will love learning facts about dinosaurs through Jack’s notetaking。 While Annie adds humor and is always getting them into some sort of trouble。 I love that there are illustrations every few pages to engage the young reader and at the same time leaving room for imagination。 The text is large and double spaced so younger readers can read it with ease。 The chapters are short and there are large full page pictures。 This would be a great book to read aloud as well as a great book for younger students who want a chapter series to enjoy on their own。 。。。more

Jack and Annie come across a mysterious tree house filled with books, when Jack wishes that he could see dinosaurs and the tree house takes the two back in time。 This book is great for kids that are just starting to read chapter books as the are bigger and the book is easier to comprehend。

After finding books 1-49 for 50 cents each, I am most definitely rereading all of them。 I loved this series as a kid; my second grade teacher read them out loud to us and I continued on my own。 Hopefully they aren’t completely awful as an adult。

This is a great book! My boys, especially my 5 year old, loved it。 It's shorter for younger attention spans, but full of suspense and adventure that his mind could grasp easily。 Looking forward to starting the next one。 This is a great book! My 2nd grade son isn't a great reader and I was looking for a book series to introduce chapter books and start phasing out pictures。 This series was suggested a few times, so I decided to give it a try。 We are enjoying it so far! The sentences are short and most of the words are easy for him to sound out。 He actually had to keep reminding ME how to pronounce Pteranodon。 Each book has around 10 chapters, and they are only 4-5 pages long。 There are still a few pictures, which my son loves! My go to, hook, make read aloud exciting and suspenseful, book for 6-7 year olds。 I love it because it appeals to both boys and girls。

Very simplistic storyline, easy for lower grade kids to follow and enjoy。 My 2nd grader reads through the series on her own and it's great for reading out loud to my Kindergartener。 The first few books seem like they basically have the same storyline, just with different time and setting。 We purchased 1-8 but I'm not sure yet if we'd go past that。Definitely a fun little read for younger kids。 Short and simple, no frills。 Very simplistic storyline, easy for lower grade kids to follow and enjoy。 My 2nd grader reads through the series on her own and it's great for reading out loud to my Kindergartener。 The first few books seem like they basically have the same storyline, just with different time and setting。 We purchased 1-8 but I'm not sure yet if we'd go past that。Definitely a fun little read for younger kids。 Short and simple, no frills。 。。。more

Since this book had dinosaurs in it I was able to lure my son into reading it to me。 He is in the third grade and has trouble reading but was able to get through it。 He liked Annie the best because he said she likes to explore。

Nostalgia, what can I say。 I was just wondering if these would still hold up after all of these years。 I'm not sure, I'll have to read through a few more to try and remember some more of what was probably my favorite series growing up。 Nostalgia, what can I say。 I was just wondering if these would still hold up after all of these years。 I'm not sure, I'll have to read through a few more to try and remember some more of what was probably my favorite series growing up。 。。。more

Considering how many people recommended, I’m pretty astonished at how barely readable this was。 I read with my 6 year old and she was not a fan either。 😬 I assume these are good for early readers to learn to read on their own, but pretty painful to read otherwise。

I had not heard of this series until there was a reference to it on a totally unrelated post on a social media site。 Thought it sounded like fun, so I looked it up and ordered it from my local library。 I didn't notice, however, that I'd ordered the audio book version。 I got the first 8 books in the series and enjoyed them very much。 Fantasy, fun, a bit of learning。。。 wonderful。 Glad I found them。 I enjoyed all 8 of this series。 There are probably more, but have just gotten through the first 8。 G I had not heard of this series until there was a reference to it on a totally unrelated post on a social media site。 Thought it sounded like fun, so I looked it up and ordered it from my local library。 I didn't notice, however, that I'd ordered the audio book version。 I got the first 8 books in the series and enjoyed them very much。 Fantasy, fun, a bit of learning。。。 wonderful。 Glad I found them。 I enjoyed all 8 of this series。 There are probably more, but have just gotten through the first 8。 Great read for young and experienced readers! 。。。more
